This is the best course I have played outside of Vegas and also the best desert course I have ever played. There is nothing there but the golf course so it is a unique experience. The course was in amazing shape and the greens were very tough which is my favorite!(no flat greens). I would recommend this course to anyone, it is worth every minute of the drive. One thing to note is your ball really sticks to the greens and the divots need to be repaired in a different way than I am used to, but they do tell you that up front.
Amazing golf course in the desert, which is set within a Native American reservation. Fabulous mountain backdrops. There are some great holes. Some of the greens undulate, which made them difficult to read. It's a tough course the first time of playing. Highly recommended.
This golf course is worth the drive. Water is not an issue as it’s on every hole. Greens are excellent. Fairways and tee boxes present a Country Club feel. There are minor blemishes but it didn’t take away from the experience. Top 2 public courses in general Vegas area. Paiute is the only spot better.
I struggled rating this course. The greens and fairways were in wonderful shape. The layout is a challenging course. Super fun to play.
The bad was some rough areas were really rough. Meaning not in good shape at all. There are lots of bunkers on this course and they were in terrible shape. In every bunker the lining was showing. Not much sand there at all.
Right now, it is not worth the drive.
Hot as hell, but beautiful! 117° the first day. Only 109° the second. Keep it in the fairway! Great challenge. Greens are extremely shaped, and plenty of slope, oh yeah, really quick also!
Challenging course with great views and nice scenery. About a half an hour drive off the highway, out in the middle of the desert. Surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges, located in the flats, they did manage to find a unique place for a golf course. Surprisingly there was plenty of water features and a decent amount of elevation change throught the course. One of the tougher courses I have ever played. The price is a little high, but if your looking for an experience, then worth cost. There wasn't a single flat green out there so expect plenty of downhill puts, sometimes straight into a bunker or pond. The fairways were in excellent condition but the greens were a little rough. Overall I was glad to have gone but it may be a while until I return.
Love the layout, conditions superb but. Bunkers are trash, you can see the netting sticking out and they have one rake for every 3 bunkers.
No ball washers anywhere, holes or on the cart. Zero water anywhere. Hard to keep towels wet to clean your clubs or if your ball gets dirty. Very difficult to keep a towel wet when’s it’s 90+ it literally dries in minutes Bring water if your heading out.
I’d drive four hours from Vegas to play this course again. It’s a must stop for any golfer within a 300 mile radius. We played in March and conditions were superb. Staff was helpful and friendly, the club sandwich was flipping killer. Each golf hole was interesting and let’s you be creative off the tee and Into the green. Loved, loved, loved the design. The Golden Bear has delivered a superb design and was generous of must all his landing areas throughout the course. We will be back!
